GETTING TO KNOW...

JEFF ROGERS

Program Architect
Reno, NV

Jeff is a Program Architect with 10+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform and the related ecosystem. He has a deep understanding of the manufacturing vertical and expertise in integration, development, and back office systems.

YOUR WORK:

How did you get started with Salesforce?

I got my start working with Salesforce by working internally for a manufacturer, developing Salesforce and ERP solutions. I also assisted with building out and maintaining an integration between the two.

What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?

What’s not to like about building solutions with Salesforce? Not sure I can pick one, so I’ll give a couple: the documentation (admin/dev guides) is second to none, the platform is super flexible and there are almost zero bugs (at least that you don’t introduce yourself!).

What energizes you at work?

I really like to teach and mentor by sharing the knowledge, skills and experiences I have picked up over the last 10+ years. Watching others succeed, whether it’s my colleagues or my clients, is what drives and energizes me every single day. Continuing to build on my knowledge and skill set is also super important. We all need to continue to grow and adapt to stay successful!

Name a work achievement you’re proud of.

Again, watching the success of others I’ve had an opportunity to mentor or be engaged with in one way or another is often the most rewarding and something I take great pride in. Whether it’s a successful go live of a project, a promotion to an architect position, the concepts of a new development pattern starting to click… it’s all awesome!

YOUR MINDSET:

Who or what inspires you?

My two young daughters (Dawson – 6, Emery – 3) often inspire me. They see the world with a fresh perspective, have a great desire to learn and gain new experiences every day. I try to take the same approach to both my personal and professional life.

What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)

I picked up skiing this past year to help my oldest daughter learn. It’s been a work in progress, but I did snowboard the previous 20 years, so I’m not a total newbie to the slopes. It’s definitely been rewarding being out there with the little one!

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

This is a hard one… how about reliable, adventurous, family-first?

JUST FOR FUN:

When you aren’t helping organizations sell faster, serve better, and work smarter, what can you be found doing? (hobbies and interests)

Mountain Biking, skiing, boating, camping (anything outdoors), watching sports and spending time with the fam.

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?

Jean shorts? Nah, just kidding. Let’s go with Pogs. Pogs were very, very popular for a year or two when I was a kid! I can still remember all the pog and slammer cases I had…

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

The one that someone else will sing… absolutely no karaoke for me!

Jeff joins us at a time of incredible growth, and we’re so pleased to have his skill and experience on the team. Welcome!
