GETTING TO KNOW...
Aaron is a 12x Salesforce Certified CPQ Architect with a background working on multi-cloud solutions for both manufacturers and SaaS companies.
How did you get started with Salesforce?
I started out as a Salesforce user and got the chance to start making some tweaks. Eventually I got into consulting where I was able to work with a variety of products and businesses. I started out with a focus in FSL and then transitioned into CPQ where I have worked with both SaaS companies and manufacturers.
What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?
I enjoy bringing different business groups together into a single system where processes can be unpacked from their silos to establish a more unified business process. With Salesforce, there are always multiple ways to complete a task and finding the best solution is an exciting challenge.
What energizes you at work?
Teaching and sharing what I have learned. There’s nothing better than coming up with a creative solution to a problem, sharing the process you used to develop it and then seeing another person apply it in their own work.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
There was a client engagement which began as a simple staff augmentation, but after familiarizing myself and the team with their system and processes we ended up rearchitecting their implementation to better align with their business processes. This rebuild was a resounding success that had measurable impact in reducing the amount of time it took to close deals and close their books each month.
Who or what inspires you?
Life and nature. The beauty of life is that you can choose to make what you want of it if you have the drive and passion.
What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)
I recently got into disc golf and have been learning how to play. The courses are a lot harder than they look!
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Dependable, Driven, and Caring
JUST FOR FUN:
What could we find you doing outside of work? (hobbies and interests)
Depending on the day I could be out riding my motorcycle, poorly playing a round of golf (or disc golf!), watching a Hawks game, playing a video game, or making travel plans.
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Driftin’ – Griz
We’re excited to have Aaron with us expanding our CPQ practice!
