REBECCA POTTS

Rebecca has 10+ years of experience managing Salesforce Projects for Small, Medium, and Enterprise-level customers. She has her PMP Certification and is a certified Scrum Master. Rebecca continues to secure Salesforce certifications as well, currently at 5: Salesforce Administrator, App Builder, UX Designer, Data Cloud Accredited Professional, and Business Analyst.
YOUR WORK:
How did you get started with Salesforce?
I started as an end user of Salesforce in my first job out of college and took a lot of interest in the Project Management Department at that company. Then I decided to pursue a career in Project Management. Like most people in the Salesforce ecosystem, Salesforce found me. I changed companies to pursue the Project Management role of my dreams at a small Salesforce consulting firm. I worked my way up there to Senior PM then PMO Manager. Now I am working at Rosetree Managing large scale projects for enterprise clients.
What energizes you at work?
Communication and Partnering with the team to solve problems. When working on a project team, everyone is in it together.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
I gave a presentation on Project Management best practices using Salesforce at Norcal Dreamin in 2019. I had a packed room and a lot of great questions afterwards. I was proud of how well my presentation was received and delivered.
YOUR MINDSET:
Who or what inspires you?
As an avid reader, I am inspired by writers. I have a few favorites but generally, I am amazed at people who can create a whole new world with words.
What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)
I just passed my Data Cloud Accredited Professional exam and I am now working towards Marketing Cloud.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Loyal, energetic, and kind
JUST FOR FUN:
What’s something you love about the place you live?
I love winter in Philadelphia when it snows. There are no cars on the roads and everyone walks to their local pub for a pint and a bite to eat. It’s when I experience the strongest community in my neighborhood.
What could we find you doing outside of work?
Reading, Swimming, Hiking, Baking.
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
Fanny packs are already making a comeback and I love when function wins over fashion.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
No one wants to hear me sing. If I must, I’d get away with singing Sonny’s part of “I got you babe”
