YOUR WORK:
How did you get started with Salesforce?
Thirteen years ago, I began my career as an accidental admin during a two-year internship. One day, the VP of Sales approached me and said, “We are purchasing a system called Salesforce; do you want to help implement it?” A few years later, I transitioned to a company where I could further develop my passion for business architecture. I quickly realized there is a significant need for establishing tangible actions within a company that support both its short-term and long-term goal to “move the needle “. Just because something is possible, it doesn’t necessarily mean we should do it. Should we?
What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?
The agility and scalability that the platform allows. A company’s growth can quickly be stifled by lack of infrastructure and Salesforce helps eliminate that hurdle.
What energizes you at work?
What really gets me going is figuring out solutions to complex problems. It’s like getting a puzzle but only seeing half of the picture. When I finally put the pieces together, it feels so rewarding.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
I would say my most challenging project was the successful replacement of spreadsheets and a homegrown platform with a full ERP implementation, Salesforce integration, and a new CPQ build. Our team of 10 overcame all obstacles and achieved a successful implementation in less than a year. I am incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to be part of the amazing team that made it happen. This experience demonstrates that a large team isn’t necessary to make a significant impact.
YOUR MINDSET:
Who or what inspires you?
Working with my colleagues, who are such smart and driven individuals, really motivates me. Their success encourages me to give my all and strive for excellence in my own work.
What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)
I am in the process of developing my mindfulness skills, and I am particularly fascinated by the concept of nature versus nurture, as well as how attachment styles influence our unconscious, systematic responses. Understanding the motivations behind people’s behaviors and the impact of my own interactions on them is incredibly intriguing to me.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Outgoing, Organized, Direct
JUST FOR FUN:
What’s something you love about the place you live?
My son’s school is a few blocks from our home which allows me to have one-on-one time with him every morning during our walk to school. Those 15 minutes really brighten up my day.
What could we find you doing outside of work?
I love yoga, ski biking, and traveling with my family.
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
The fanny pack has already made its comeback as a “cross-body purse.” I don’t think there is much more I can ask for in life. My hands are now free to do so many activities.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
“Dancing Queen” – ABBA
