Through selling complex products, I learned that I love creative problem solving and technology, and switched to Salesforce Consulting. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with SaaS companies, Private Equity Groups, Mortgage lenders, Hospitality companies, and more to create the best business system solutions for complex requirements on multiple clouds.”
YOUR WORK:
How did you get started with Salesforce?
I started my career working in Sales Ops, and then Sales in the Financial Services and Mortgage industry. At this company, we used Salesforce as our CRM, and I fell in love with it. I became an “accidental admin” that colleagues would go to for advice on setting up reports, simplifying processes, and troubleshooting errors. I decided to combine my passions for business systems, problem solving, and working with clients to become a Salesforce CPQ consultant, and have loved it for the last 5 years.
What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?
I think that my favorite thing about building solutions is listening to clients’ complex needs, pain points, and constraints. The taking those to build out the best possible solution that solves all of these in a creative and effective way. Even more so, I love seeing the joy brought to clients when I build something that reduces stress, saves money, and allows for growth for them, in ways they previously thought impossible.
What energizes you at work?
I think the thing that energizes me the most at work is coming to a solution to a complex problem, and having that “A Ha!” moment. Another thing that energizes me is getting to work with my colleagues here at Rosetree, who are all humble experts and some of the most talented people in the Salesforce ecosystem. It is very energizing to continually learn from my colleagues here.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
I think that one of my most proud moments in work was stepping in and helping build a solution to simplify the product catalog and document generation process for a very large company. We were able to take them down from having ~80,000 products to only have about 1200, and use complex price rules to achieve their complex pricing model, as well as significantly reduce their document printing expenses.
YOUR MINDSET:
Who or what inspires you?
I think that my family, especially my grandfather, inspires me the most. Growing up in rural western Texas, he always dreamed of working with space. He put himself through college, with many jobs, so that he could pursue his dream and work for NASA. I like to keep that perspective that with hard work, you can accomplish anything.
What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)
I am currently learning how to code in Apex as I prepare for my Platform Developer I certification
What three words would your friends use to describe you?

JUST FOR FUN:
What’s something you love about the place you live?
As someone who grew up in Washington DC, moved away for a while, and moved back, I have an extreme appreciation for the unique combination of amenities DC has to offer. Be it running through Rock Creek Park, seeing all the monuments, going to great restaurants, watching my favorite sports teams, and seeing a culture so influenced by people who have moved here from all over the country and the world, DC is a very exciting place with so much to offer.
What could we find you doing outside of work?
I love running through Rock Creek Park and the monuments, camping, playing golf, and seeing live music!
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
Starters jackets and throwback sports hats.
