Barry has been with Rosetree Solutions as a technical recruiter for four years. He makes sure the Rosetree team is full of awesome, highly-skilled people. Before joining, he came from an educational background.
YOUR WORK:
How did you get started with Salesforce?
A friend of mine was working with Salesforce at the time. One day we were at a golf driving range chatting about work and it piqued my interest so much, I decided to give it a try.
What energizes you at work?
I love talking with different types of people and learning about their Salesforce journey. I enjoy watching Rosetree Solutions grow with top notch team members while focusing on quality work for clients. You spend so much of your day with who you work with, it’s obvious Rosetree Solutions puts an emphasis on team fit and a positive culture!
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
During my time at Rosetree, I’ve help support the growth of the internal team while maintaining our standard of quality. Our team has grown 4x in size since I began and our clients continue to benefit from the quality of work we can provide.
YOUR MINDSET:
Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired to be a wonderful father to my son and husband to my wife!
What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)
Having recently remodeled two rental houses, I’m continuing to expand my knowledge on rewiring new electrical cable and boxes/fixtures, replace plumbing valves, install new windows and gutters, as well as insulation and drywall.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Fun, logical, cheap (per my wife).
JUST FOR FUN:
What’s something you love about the place you live?
Everything! It has islands, mountains, protected forestlands, pristine lakes and ocean, beaches, wildlife, nature galore, temperate climate, and my extended family.
What could we find you doing outside of work?
Sports and games (pickleball, golf, tennis, biking, hiking, basketball, softball, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, ping pong, badminton, etc.). I also play in a very active jazz band, concert band, and symphony.
What trend do you hope makes a comeback?
Everyone, and especially kids, not being so reliant on technology and screens for entertainment all the time.
