Your Work
How did you get started with Salesforce?
When a company I worked for implemented Salesforce, my team became heavily reliant on Salesforce Field Service, so it made sense not only to learn all I could about it, but to understand how it helped us work more cohesively with other departments using Service Cloud and Sales Cloud. The more I learned, the more excited I got about what was possible, so I started working as closely as I could with our IT team and stakeholders from other departments toward great solutions.
What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?
The platform is a great balance between ready-made elements and flexibility. It makes tailoring specific solutions very efficient — the answer is almost always, “Yes, there is a way to do that.”
What energizes you at work?
I enjoy finding clean solutions to complex problems. Whenever I learn of a client’s pain points and I can make them go away, I’m having a good day.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
Before I became a consultant, I got to build and present a Field Service prototype completely on my own in a dev org, as part of an effort to get stakeholder buy-in on some features that weren’t yet in use. The questions that came in during that presentation were more and more pointed and interested, and several of the top priorities from that presentation have since been implemented. It felt like a huge win.
