Your Work
How did you get started with Salesforce?
I spent a few years working as a BI/Data Analyst at a large organization, and we partnered closely with a team of Salesforce resources. Initially, Salesforce was just a database that I reported on, but as I moved into a management role, eventually became a platform that I was responsible for. Like a lot of professionals in the industry, it was initially a bit of trial by fire, but I grew to love the platform - so much so that I eventually transitioned into Salesforce consulting.
What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?
I'm sure this is a common answer - but the variety of possibilities that we have to build solutions. Every organization is different, and being able to dig into the nooks and crannies of the toolbox that we have to discover solutions to new situations is always fulfilling.
What energizes you at work?
There are many answers here , but I'll try to stick to one. Towards the end of an implementation, I love seeing our clients' teams interacting with the solutions that we've put in place, and providing feedback to us around those solutions. While we are in the Support phase, I often find myself monitoring data around the new features that have been put in place, and checking in with individual team members to see how things are going for them day-to-day. While building solutions and learning new businesses is always exciting, to me, nothing jolts me more than seeing our solutions have a positive impact on our clients processes.
Name a work achievement you’re proud of.
My last client engagement, of course!
