YOUR WORK:

How did you get started with Salesforce?

I got started in Salesforce while working during my MBA program. I worked for the Chicago Public School System’s Career and Technical Education department where I managed data for work-based learning experiences. I did a capstone project where I sought to identify better ways to manage our information and processes. Through my research I found Salesforce, brought it to my team and learned the platform to overhaul our day-to-day operations. From there, I grew to enjoy the platform and found a space in customizing the platform for unique business use cases.

What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?

My favorite thing about building on Salesforce is how far you can take it and the obscure use cases that you can apply the system to. I’ve seen what I would have believed to be the most unlikely companies adopt Salesforce and thrive with it. It’s not a one size fits all platform, it’s a tailor-made bespoke tool that dresses your business in its own style.

What energizes you at work?

Seeing clients get their needs met and be pleased with results is what gives me energy. There’s a thrill that comes with problem solving, especially when you are presented with limits. Executing a vision that solves a pain point for someone makes the type of work that we do worthwhile.

Name a work achievement you’re proud of.

I’m proud to have served over 70+ clients in my career here at Rosetree. The opportunity to build custom processes and create experiences that have literally wowed our clients gives me pride.

YOUR MINDSET:

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by those who use technology and innovation to help create better lives and experiences for others. We live in a time where technology is boundless. As much harm as it can do, it can do good as well. Seeing people who innovate with the good of others in mind inspires me to seek out ways to do the same.

What’s one thing you’re learning now? (professional or personal)

I recently learned a great deal about full stack web development to the point where I feel comfortable enough to know what I’m talking about when I talk about it.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

He’s the man. Just kidding. They would probably say that I’m silly, passionate and loving.

JUST FOR FUN:

What’s something you love about the place you live?

I love the parks, the views and the food, especially. Chicago is one of the great food cities and I never get tired of trying new places.

What could we find you doing outside of work?

You can find me writing poetry and talking about short stories I’ve never gotten around to writing, building Lego, making music or spending time with my wife and two kids.

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?

Neckties! I doubt they’ll ever come back, but I used to pride myself on the variety of neckties that I had.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

I have two: Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe by Barry White (to compliment my deep voice) and Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. I did the latter in front of a live band once and it was a magical experience.

Nosa has been an integral part of building Rosetree to where it is today, and we’re excited to have him share a bit about himself. Thanks Nosa!
